Having gained a Degree in Psychology, I then trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy at the
London College of Clinical Hypnosis (LCCH) Imperial College London. The LCCH was
founded in 1984 and has helped to gain wide recognition of the value of Clinical Hypnosis
over a vast range of medical, psychological and somatic problems.

The LCCH is Governed by the national professional body of the British Society of Clinical
Hypnosis (BSCH).
All members of the BSCH are committed to a Continuing Professional Development
Programme.
The BSCH requires that all members have professional liability insurance.

Consultations are always confidential and last about one to one and a half hours. Close
liaison is maintained with the medical profession. Where appropriate to the presenting
symptom and with the clients permission, their GP may be contacted to confirm diagnosis
and to ensure that there are no medical contra-indications to the use of hypnotherapy.
An average course of treatment is 4 to 6 sessions to ensure a resolution of the problem, and
therefore avoidance of a ‘short-term fix’.
Having worked as a Counsellor for Victim Support in East Sussex over several years, I
have experience in helping people overcome high levels of stress and/or recovering from
traumatic experiences.
