Smoking Cessation

Smoking Cessation Through Hypnotherapy Hypnotherapy is now recognised as being one of the most effective ways to Stop Smoking. It helps to make the transition from Smoker to Non-Smoker much easier giving you control over the habit. About the Sessions Your smoking habit can be very quickly extinguished through Hypnotherapy, as long as you are committed to the change for yourself. Smoking cessation is offered as a therapy package in a two session approach. The sessions will be specifically tailored to your situation and smoking habit, giving you the best possible chance of success. Any concerns you may have about stopping smoking will be addressed during the session. It Must Be Your Choice It is essential that you are sufficiently motivated to become a non-smoker for your own personal reasons, and not just because someone else has pressurised you into giving up. Some Smoking Facts Smoking can seriously damage your health and the health of those around you. There are over 4,000 chemicals in tobacco smoke, none of them good for you and 128 are carcinogenic (cancer causing). Smoking increases your risk of lung cancer, throat cancer, emphysema, heart disease, high blood pressure, ulcers, gum disease and other conditions. Nicotine in tobacco products is an addictive substance. Smoking simply perpetuates the nicotine craving for the next cigarette. Tobacco products are the only products that can be bought over the counter and when used as intended, can kill. In the UK 120,000 people per annum die as a direct result of smoking The NHS spend an average of £1.5 billion pounds per year on the treatment of smoking related diseases. Will I Put On Weight? This question often arises, and is therefore an important issue to be dealt with. Many people have stopped smoking in the past of their own accord, through willpower or some other approach, only to find to their horror, that they are substituting smoking for eating. I address this issue by looking at healthier ways that both the mind and body can be satisfied when smoking is removed from their lives. This obviously varies from person to person, but the unconscious mind will have ideas, even if the conscious mind is at a loss for ideas. Powerful suggestions are then given in the trance state to ensure that unhealthy eating does not ensue. What is stopping you from becoming a NON-SMOKER? Becoming a Non-Smoker and: Within 20 minutes Your blood pressure and pulse decrease Within 8 Hours The carbon monoxide and oxygen levels in your blood normalise Within 24 Hours Your chance of heart attack decreases Within 72 Hours Your bronchial tubes begin to relax and lung capacity increases Within 2 Weeks to 3 Months Your circulation improves, walking becomes easier and lung function increases by 30% Within 1 Month to 9 Months Your overall level of energy increases and the cilia (fine internal hairs which help to clean your lungs) begin to regenerate reducing infection. Within 1 Year Your chances of dying from heart disease decrease to half of that of a lifelong smoker. Within 10 Years Your risk of dying from lung cancer drops to almost that of a lifelong Non-Smoker The Hypnotic Experience Hypnosis is a simple state of mental relaxation, sometimes described as an altered state of awareness. Having an hypnotic experience feels very pleasant and extremely relaxing. Similar states occur naturally when you are engrossed in a book, watching TV, or day-dreaming. Working with a hypnotherapist, your unconscious mind is more open to beneficial suggestions which help you to make positive changes in your life. Although very relaxed, you will always be fully aware and in control of your responses throughout the session. Everyone can be hypnotised, if they want to be. The fact that you want to make a change in your life and are seeking the help of a hypnotherapist, means that you will go easily in to trance. Hypnosis is completely natural, so the only side effects experienced are the pleasant by-products of improved well-being. You will be able to drive, or continue your working day immediately following the session.
